This is the best summer training camp ever!
— Team ATC Athlete

Introduction

What a camp! This is without a doubt the best summer camp going for all ages of athletes. Fantastic ski training on the glacier and a fairytale lodge on the shores of the fjord to jump in to after a sunny hard days training on the slopes.

With the rapid deterioration of the European glaciers through the summer months we have decided to head North to Fonna, in Norway to take advantage of this spectacular training facility.  Early July offers the best weather and snow conditions and the training organisers salt the pistes which make them firm and stable all day long.

Norway Dates

Dates for 2019 are as follows:
15 - 22 June (FIS ONLY)
22 - 29 June (FIS ONLY)
29 - 6 July (ALL)
6 - 13 July (ALL)
13 - 20 July (ALL) UNCONFIRMED, PLEASE CONTACT ATC FOR INFO

Focus of the Camp

On Snow:  This is the time of year to nail the fundamentals down, and then to start to build on them. Technical free skiing and drills, and then a high concentration of focused gate training. Shaping and putting into practice new faster and more effective techniques and tactics.

Off snow: Our focus will be on fitness development and practice, setting young athletes up for a great summer of building strength, flexibility and fitness. There will be lots of fun to be had (hiking, swimming, yoga, volleyball, etc) and we will take advantage of the beautiful surroundings we are in, to explore Norway's breath taking scenery.
